Opening Ceremony of the Actual Site Visit at Hanoi Medical University

On June 10th, 2017, the Center for Education Accreditation, Vietnam National University (VNU-CEA) and Hanoi Medical University collaborated to organize the opening ceremony of the Actual Site Visit at the Hanoi Medical University, according to the quality assessment standards at institutional level set by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).

Attending the opening ceremony, the VNU-CEA were Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien, Vice-director and Supervisor of the Assessment team. On the side of the Assessment team were Prof. Dr. Dang Ung Van –Team Leader, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thai An – Secretary, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Doan Long – Permanent member; Prof. Dr. Vo Tam, Prof. Dr. Dong Khac Hung; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Dr. Pham Minh Dam.

On the side of the Hanoi Medical University, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Hinh - Rector, members of the Board of Managements  and leaders of departments and units and representatives of faculty, staff, students of the university.

Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien reiterated the importance of external assessment; the main purpose of quality accreditation is to ensure standards in training and to continuously improve the quality of training, to meet the requirements of employers and to ensure the benefits for learner.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Hinh, Rector of the Hanoi Medical University also thanked the Assessment team and VNU-CEA. He pledged that the university will create the most favorable conditions for the Assessemnet Team and VNU-CEA successfully fulfill its mission in the Actual site visit.

During the 5 days of actual site visit, the team will do additional desktop assessment, carry out group discussions and  interviews, examine and collect feedbacks from relevant stakeholders, observe teaching and learning activities, and assess facilities on campus to verify the information of the universirty’sself-assessment report (SAR). Based on the destop assessment and actual site visit, the assessment team will makenecessary recommendations for the university to improve and enhance its education quality.

The site assessment at the Hanoi Medical University will take place from June 10th to June 15th, 2017.
