On July 26th, 2017, the Center for Education Accreditation, Vietnam National University (VNU-CEA) and Hue University of Education collaborated to organize the opening ceremony of the Actual Site Visit at Hue University of Education, according to the quality assessment standards at institutional level set by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).
Attending the opening ceremony, the VNU-CEA were Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien, Permanent Vice-director and Supervisor. On the side of the Assessment team were Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan – Team Leader, Dr. Hoang Thi Xuan Hoa – Secretary, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Huy – Permanent member; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duy Cam, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Tuan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Bien, Dr. To Thi Thu Huong were members.
Delegates from Hue University has Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Linh – Director, representative leaders of Department of Testing and Educational Quality Assurance, Department of Academic Affairs, Department of Science, Technology and Environment. On the side of Hue University of Education, there were Dr. Le Anh Phuong - Rector, members of the Board of Managements and leaders of departments and units and representatives of faculty, staff, students of the university.
Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien reiterated the importance of external assessment; the main purpose of quality accreditation is to ensure standards in training and to continuously improve the quality of training, to meet the requirements of employers and to ensure the benefits for learner. The Permanent Vice-director asked the assessors to perform the assessment with strict objectivity, honesty and fairness so that the evaluating activities can reflect the reality and keep trust to State agencies and the society.
Dr. Le Anh Phuong, Rector of the Hue University of Education thanked the Assessment team and VNU-CEA. He pledged that the university will create the most favorable conditions for the Assessemnet Team and VNU-CEA successfully fulfill its mission in the Actual site visit.
During the 5 days of actual site visit, the team will do additional desktop assessment, carry out group discussions and interviews, examine and collect feedbacks from relevant stakeholders, observe teaching and learning activities, and assess facilities on campus to verify the information of the universirty’sself-assessment report (SAR). Based on the destop assessment and actual site visit, the assessment team will makenecessary recommendations for the university to improve and enhance its education quality.
The site assessment at Hue University of Education will take place from July 26th to 30th, 2017.
