University of Da Nang President Nguyen Ngoc Vu represented the two
institutions to sign a cooperation agreement to perform national tasks
in training high-quality human resources, scientific research and
technological development in key fields, serving socio-economic
development and international integration.

Speaking
at the meeting, President of the University of Da Nang Nguyen Ngoc Vu
expressed his pleasure and honour to welcome the VNU delegation to
visit, work and sign cooperation documents between the two institutions.
Appreciating VNU’s rich tradition, leading position, role and mission
as "the cradle of training generations of Party and State leaders,
generations of teachers, and businessmen to meet the development needs
of the country throughout the nation's history", President Nguyen Ngoc
Vu said that VNU's achievements, strengths and experience were valuable
lessons for the development process of the University of Da Nang.
VNU
President Le Quan shared that VNU's operating model over nearly 30
years of establishment has gradually improved with the mission of
fostering talents, training high-quality human resources; both
inheriting the strengths in basic sciences, social sciences and
humanities, and natural science; and developing new fields (such as
Applied Technology, Engineering; Digital/Digital Transformation,
Medicine-Pharmacy, Law, etc.), to meet the needs of society and
businesses with an innovative university model.
President
Le Quan wished that the two sides would promote the sharing of
development policies, resources and experience; continue to perfect
their models, university administration and cooperation for development;
demonstrate their pioneering role in training high-quality human
resources, scientific research and innovation, and increasingly
effective international integration for the common good.
In
the presence of the delegates, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu -
Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the University of Da Nang
and Prof. Dr. Le Quan - Secretary of the Party Committee, President of
VNU signed a five-year cooperation agreement focusing on the following
areas: training, education quality assurance and accreditation;
scientific research and international cooperation.
Besides
the fields included in the agreement, the heads of the two universities
emphasized a number of key activities such as: Cooperating and
coordinating closely to successfully implement ODA and PHER projects;
Promoting cooperation in organizing international events and seminars
with the participation of invited international experts in three
destinations in Vietnam, namely VNU, VNU-HCMC and the University of Da
Nang; Strengthening cooperation with businesses and localities; Sharing
information, experience, programs and projects; Cooperating to solve the
problems that meet the development realities of the regions and the
whole country.
